Thank you for your question.
Hernia is caused by a gap in the abdominal wall. Massage will only get rid of the bump temporarily. Once the patient is back in activities, the bump will show up again.
Hernia can be dangerous if there’s a bowel constriction, especially if it is forced by massaging it in.
