Question :
My back feels very stiff and it is quite painful when I bend myself down. What should I do? Thank you.
Answer :
Dear Ms. Maya Irnawaty,
Thank you for your question.
Back problem is quite a common complaint and the root cause may vary, from its impaired skin, muscle, spine and its discs, nerves, and spinal cords. It can also be caused by muscle abnormalities in the stomach or hip (referred pain).
In your case, there is a possibility that the muscle causes your pain. To overcome any muscle problems:
- Muscle pain killer and muscle relaxant (if needed).
- Stretching exercises.
- Avoid any stressful position for your muscle.
- Physiotherapy.
