Question :

Good afternoon Doctor. I have a question. Is it healthy if the sperm is diluted and translucent? I just got married 4 months ago, but my wife is worried  by my sperm condition. Which doctor I should go to check it? How long until I get the result and how much does it cost? Thank you

Answer :

Dear Mr. Ahmad Damanhuri,

Thank you for question.

Translucent and diluted sperm does not always mean less. And it goes the other way around, thick sperm does not mean it is good or healthy. Abnormalities in sperm abnormalities can include the number, shape, motility / movement, clotting, infection and others. If you are concerned with the condition, you may go to the nearest laboratory for sperm examination. My suggestion is, check the sperm within 3-5 days after your last ejaculation. You can have the examination at GADING PLUIT Hospital at any time. However, there are certain conditions and special sperm container for the examination and I suggest you contact GADING PLUIT Hospital for a more detailed information. If you live far away, there is a special room to extract the sperm on the 4th Floor. Also contact our Laboratory Staff for the exact fee.

Hope this information helps.
