In January 2015, I had open Inguinal Hernia surgery. However, Im now experiencing some pain again and constipation. Im worried that somehow it didnt heal correctly. Is there a way to have this checked out? I didnt have laparoscopic surgery because I was in south africa and they didnt offer that at the hospital I went to.

Thank you for your mail. Some patients experience pain after hernia surgery, but if the pain comes again after months or years, you must be aware of the possibility of recurrence. It means perhaps there is a new problem. So the best way is you may consult the near surgeon.
